Dr. Susan M. Catlett is a board-certified behavior analyst, doctoral level, one of 136 in Texas. She has provided consultation to public school districts for over 30 years in the areas of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and applied behavior analysis (ABA). She continues to work closely with teachers, students, and their families. While in graduate school, Susan was acknowledged for achievements and promise in research, teaching, and community service by receiving the Alice H. Hayden Award. This award is an international award for doctoral research. Susan has presented to teachers and other school members across the U.S. When not providing staff development, she is in classrooms every day working with students with ASD and related disorders. Susan prides herself for providing positive feedback to staff, and working directly with students. Dr. Catlett also holds a certificate in Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) from the Florida Institute of Technology. She is a co-host for a podcast called “Function Junction: Behavior Matters.”

Dr. Catlett also holds Texas teaching certifications in the following areas:
Seriously Emotionally Disturbed/Autism, Severe and Profound Handicaps, Elementary Education and Generic Special Education.

Services

Dr. Catlett offers classroom observation and consultation as well as staff development in the areas of autism spectrum disorders (ASD), applied behavior analysis (ABA), social skills, and the Texas Autism Individual Education Plan (IEP) supplement, among other topics. Susan also conducts functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and can assist in developing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) with IEP teams. Dr. Catlett also advocates for individuals on the autism spectrum by providing expert testimony in due process hearings.
